🛵 Motorised Scooters
We have a choice of mobility scooters and can help you find the one that’s most suitable for you.
Pioneer Scooters
Our larger scooters offer a more substantial and comfortable ride and may be better suited to longer outings as they have a longer battery life and heavier passengers. They are limited to 4mph when hired from us.
Travel Scooters
Our smaller scooters are a good choice if you want something that can be transported in a car. They can be taken apart into several sections, making them easier to load and carry. They’re particularly useful if you want to take a scooter with you for an extended hire.
Shoprider Scooters
A comfortable choice for getting around Worcester city centre, whether you’re shopping, sightseeing or simply want to avoid having to walk longer distances. These are a good general-purpose option for many of our customers.
Powered Wheelchairs
A powered wheelchair can be a good choice if you find a mobility scooter difficult to operate or need something that is easy to manoeuvre in smaller spaces.
Our powered wheelchairs are controlled using a joystick on the arm of the chair. We have both left-hand and right-hand control versions available, and we’ll show you how to use the chair safely before you set off.
👨🏻🦽➡️Manual Wheelchairs
A manual wheelchair can be a good choice if you need help getting around but don’t need a powered mobility aid. It can be pushed by a companion or, if you’re able, propelled yourself.
We have 18-inch and 20-inch wheelchairs available. They have brakes for both the user and the person pushing the chair. We also have attachments that can support an injured or affected leg in an elevated position.
Simple, affordable hire
Hire any of our equipment for just £5 a day.
For day or part-day hire, the charge is £5 and no deposit is required.
You can also hire equipment for several days. Extended hire costs £5 per day, including the day you collect the equipment and the day you return it. A refundable deposit is required:
- Manual wheelchair: £50
- Travel scooter, Shoprider scooter or powered wheelchair: £100
- Larger Pioneer scooter: £200
Please note: We currently accept cash payments only.
What you need to know
If it is your first visit, we’ll ask you to register with us. We ask customers to re-register every 12 months so that our records remain up to date and meet our insurance requirements.
Please bring photo identification, such as a driving licence, passport, bus pass or Blue Badge. If possible, please also bring a mobile phone with you.
The person who will use the equipment should normally come to ShopMobility themselves. If someone else needs to collect equipment on your behalf, please contact us beforehand.
If you are hiring a mobility scooter or powered wheelchair, we’ll make sure you can use it safely before you leave.
Our equipment has a maximum user weight of 25 stone.
For extended hire, please arrange your visit in advance where possible and allow plenty of time for the paperwork and, if necessary, loading the equipment into your vehicle.
